See Why We Should All Be Proud Of The Women Who Serve In The U.S. ArmyDan Doyle
Watch this short video and learn about the modern history of women serving in the United States Army. It takes you through each of the historical milestones that women have achieved over the last 75 years.
Today, women are able to serve in all branches of the services. All of the MOSs have been opened up to them and they, too, are now able to serve the nation in war and peace in combat as well as in all of the formerly traditional roles that women have done over our history.
No matter what you may feel about the issue of women serving in combat, it is a matter of fact that women have been proving their leadership and war fighting skills alongside men in the post 9/11 wars with equal distinction, bravery and determination.
You will see that determination in the faces of the women pictured in this video as well. But you will also see the pride that they have in now being able to served in the same way that men have from the beginning of our nation.
We as American citizens can rightly be proud of all of our young women and men who choose to serve the country, in the uniforms of our military branches and to be integral and equal members of those forces that take the oath, to “…support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same…”
The Veterans Site honors all of this nation’s women who have willingly chosen to serve the nation in the military in the past and those who continue to serve presently in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. We are proud of you. Thank you for your service to our country. HooRah!
