On September 11, 2001, thousands of Americans lost their lives and their loved ones during the devastating terrorist attack on our great nation. On the 12th anniversary of that day, the residents of the Holyoke Soldier’s Home joined in with the rest of the nation to mourn the tragedy and loss of life.

During their remembrance ceremony, these veterans took time to remember all of the victims of the attacks on September 11th, as well as paying special honor to the service members killed int he line of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq.

WWII Army Air Corps veteran Richard Lane said, “I know I will never, never forget it… and I hope we never see it again.”
