Top bravery award given to Royal Gurkha Rifleman!

This is a video of one of the brave men fighting with the NATO forces against the Taliban in Afghanistan.

You are about to hear about Dipprasad Pun, who is a Nepalese sergeant of the Royal Gurkha Rifles. He was decorated with the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for an act of bravery during the War in Afghanistan on the night of September 17, 2010.

This Gurkha’s single handed defense of his unit against a Taliban attack shows the humble heroism of so many of those joined with us in the effort against those who would take freedom away from the Afghan people.

“I thought there might have been around 20 to 30, but later locals told me it was probably about 15. The firing went on continually for about 17 minutes,” said Sergeant Pun to an United Kingdom publication.

“At first I was a bit scared, and I thought definitely they are going to kill me. But as soon as I started firing, that feeling went away.”

This video also includes awards for bravery to several other British soldiers as well.
