Ret. Col. Hal Shook recently celebrated his 95th birthday by skydiving from 12000 feet. A WWII veteran, he was shot down during the Normandy invasion and later flew missions in Korea and Vietnam. He had family and friends from around the country come to watch his jump. He summed it up perfectly when he said “It’s a joy, and you’re sitting there and you can see everything below,” Shook said. “It’s beautiful.”
I hope I’m that energetic if I get to 95! Way to go, Col. Shook!
