Reunited and It Feels So Good: Two Soldiers See Each Other After Two Years

Military police K9 handler Sgt. Jason Bos and Cila, a bomb-sniffing MWD (Military Working Dog), formed a special bond while serving together in Iraq. When Sgt. Bos was discharged, Cila was sent with a new handler to Germany. While apart, the two missed each other terribly.

“I didn’t know if I would ever see her again. She’s a young dog, only seven years old. She’s in good health,” Sgt. Bos told Grand Rapids, Mich. NBC affiliate WOOD TV8.

When the Army contacted Sgt. Bos and asked if he would be interested in keeping Cila, Sgt. Bos excitedly agreed.

“I was a little nervous about it, but, uh, very satisfied, very happy that it went so well,” Sgt. Bos said. He doesn’t know why the Army retired Cila, but he is so glad to have her back in his life.
