When a student shot a gun on his high school campus, other students were terrified… but then a hero stepped in.
Brady Olsen teaches government and civics at North Thurston High School in Lacey, Washington. On Monday, April 27, 2015, he heard a loud noise near the school’s common area. As he and a couple other teachers approached the stairs, he saw a student walking down it, smoking a cigarette and carrying a gun.

Olsen stepped sideways behind a pillar, and the shooter let off another shot. Immediately, Olsen took action and lunged at the shooter.
