Sailor Shows Up At Family Dinner, Taps His Grandparents On Head After A Year Apart

With help from his family, Navy Sailor Harley Brewer was able to pull of the ultimate surprise homecoming for his beloved grandparents.

Brewer, who has been in the Navy for four years, has always come home for the holidays. But this time, he wanted it to be special for his grandparents, so his brother and mom told them that he was deployed and unable to make it home this year.

It has been a whole year since Brewer had seen his grandparents, so he knew this homecoming would be extra special.

His family was out to dinner when Brewer sneakily showed up behind his grandparents and tapped their heads. They turned around to see their grandson standing there, and immediately started screaming with joy.

But while Brewer was surprising his grandparents, he had no idea that he was about to get a surprise of his own.

Brewer’s girlfriend DeeDee, who met him while they were both serving in the Navy, was able to come home without Brewer knowing. She waited in the car while Brewer was surprising his grandparents.

Once they were settled in after the surprise, DeeDee made her way into the restaurant to surprise her boyfriend.

She excitedly ran into Brewer’s arms, and he was just as shocked to see her as his grandparents had been to see him.

To top it off, the restaurant brought the family a free dessert to thank Brewer for his service.
