Oldest World War I Veteran Dies in 2011

Frank Buckles passed away last year after reaching the ripe age of 110. He received the title of being the last surviving veteran of WWI.

Buckles lied about his age in his eagerness to serve his country and is a true patriot. Despite never being awarded a Medal of Honor, Purple Heart or being killed in action, he was buried at Arlington.
