U.S. Drops Largest Non-Nuclear Bomb For First Time, Targeting ISIS In Afghanistan

The GBU-43B MOAB (Massive Ordnance Air Blast) is the largest non-nuclear bomb in the arsenal of the United States Air Force. It was first tested in 2003 (view the footage below) but had never before been used in combat. On Thursday, April 13 the United States for the first time dropped the GBU-43B on an ISIS tunnel complex in eastern Afghanistan, in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province.
