This Canine Companion Won’t Leave His Fallen Comrade. You Have to See It for Yourself!

Navy Seal Jon Tumilson was killed in the August 6, 2011 Chinook helicopter crash that took the lives of thirty American service members.

Those who knew Jon came to his funeral to be there with him one last time. They came to share stories of Jon; family, friends, his fellow SEALs and others in this life wanted one final moment with Jon.

But, there was one buddy of Jon’s who did not want this time to be his final moment with Jon.

This is the story of Jon’s best friend and loyal companion Hawkeye, who took up vigil at Jon’s casket, refusing to leave his fallen master’s side.

“If you’re alone, I’ll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I’ll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I’ll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I’ll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I’ll just be me.” — Anonymous
