Michael Reagan is a man on a mission. This combat veteran of Vietnam will not let the memories of the fallen be forgotten. He does something very beautiful for the families of the fallen that may seem simple, but it is often miraculous in the effect it has on those families. He calls his endeavor the Fallen Hero Project.
In this video you will see the power that Reagan’s art has to keep the memories of the fallen sacred. Listen to his humble words and you will hear the depth of his dedication and love for these many men and women who have lost their lives in service to the nation. He does not know them personally, but he gets to know them as he draws them.
He somehow captures the light of their lives as he draws their eyes. Each fallen hero looks out of those drawings and right at you. Reagan does every one of these for free. He has done many thousands of them now. In every case, his labors, the materials, the framing, the packaging, and the mailing are all absorbed by him. He does this entirely out of his love for his fallen brothers and sisters in arms and their families. He was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his service to our Gold Star Families and their fallen heroes by the President at a ceremony in Washington D.C.Whizzco
