5 AMAZING DIY Sensory Bottles – And They’re Easy To Make, Too!

Calming bottles can be a useful intervention tool for those on the spectrum. These glittery, captivating bottles can soothe children when they are upset and help them regulate their emotions. Depending on the amount of time it takes for the glitter to settle to the bottom, the bottle can even be used as a timer for your children when they’re in timeout or just when they need a break from a task.

Supplies:
Sturdy plastic water bottle,
Tap water,
Clear tacky glue,
Fine glitter or glitter glue (or both),
Anything else sparkly or engaging you want to add (like plastic confetti),
Super glue for gluing the cap shut so prying hands can’t make a mess!
