Marine Veteran, Amazing Student Wins Super Bowl Surprise Of A Lifetime
The Tillman scholarship, given out by the Pat Tillman Foundation, was established in memory of the late Arizona Cardinals player to help veterans go to college. After 9/11, Pat Tillman gave up a lucrative contract with the NFL to enlist. He was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan.
At only 27, veteran Reagan Odhner has already served two tough tours with the Marine Corps. She enlisted after high school, served on the frontline in Afghanistan and taught local government officials about women’s rights. Now, after winning a Tillman academic scholarship, she plans to go to Stanford.
Reagan was delighted to receive the scholarship check, but there was more to come. Five-time Super Bowl champ Adam Vinatieri presented Reagan with Super Bowl tickets!
