Losing his sight didn’t mean the end of the road for this soldier. Casimir Werda lost his vision due to an IED explosion while on patrol in Iraq in the 1st Infantry Division as an Army specialist, according to USA Today. He soon discovered goalball after an invitation to an event by fellow veterans. The game proved to be life changing for this war veteran. Casimir has since become a competitive and focused goalball player, and this video shows him in action.
