America’s favorite pastime and its armed forces cross paths each year when players on the U.S. Military All-Star team play exhibition games against college and professional teams. The All-Star team celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2015, as players sacrifice their time off to inspire baseball fans and wounded veterans alike. The All-Star program also provides veterans a chance to show off for major-league scouts, and two former players have been drafted by professional teams, reports Stars and Stripes.
